About me
I was born in Göttingen in 1991 and grew up in this beautiful city. Thanks to my family, I was introduced to good food at an early age and trained in the art of enjoying it. Later, wine inevitably became part of the meal.
After graduating from high school and completing a voluntary social year, I travelled to New Zealand for a few months (Work and Travel), where I frequently worked on wine and apple farms.
After my return, I moved to Hamburg. There, I decided to begin my culinary training at Piment (1 Michelin star). My love for wine had already been ignited there, and so I immersed myself in the subject during my apprenticeship, both in theory and practice.
I attended masterclasses, trade fairs, and winemakers, and I engaged extensively with the topic, both privately and with sommelier friends.
After a few years, I moved back towards my hometown and ended up in Kassel. Here I worked as a cook at the Voit restaurant, and with the opening of the Mondi restaurant, I started working there.
In August 2022, I decided it was time to leave the kitchen and dedicate myself to wine. I completed WSET Level 2 and started working as a sommelier at the restaurant Mondi. There, I was able to inspire many guests with the world of low-intervention and natural wines.
Since these wines don't receive the representation they deserve in Kassel and the surrounding area, I decided last year: "I'm going to open a wine shop."
