Collection: Marto

Martin Otto Wörner, known as Marto, is known for his bold and vibrant natural wines from Flonheim in Rheinhessen. With his distinctive style, he has made a name for himself in the German and international natural wine scene within just a few years.

His parents primarily produced fruit wines in the 1980s and largely let the vineyards run wild. When Martin returned home after gaining experience at renowned wineries such as Domaine Matassa in southern France and Gut Oggau in Burgenland, he found virtually a blank slate. He was immediately given free rein to realize his dream of owning his own winery.

His vineyards are mainly situated on sandstone soils, which give the wines a special structure and elegance. He focuses on organic viticulture and early harvesting to preserve freshness and vibrancy in the grapes.

Martin pursues an uncompromising approach: his wines are spontaneously fermented, mature in used wooden barrels on the lees for over a year, and are bottled unfiltered and mostly without added sulfites. This minimalist intervention preserves the authentic expression of the terroir and gives his wines their distinctive character.

With a clear vision and a deep understanding of viticulture and winemaking, Martin Otto Wörner has succeeded in creating a distinctive style that harmoniously blends tradition and modernity. His wines are a feast for all those seeking honest, unadulterated, and vibrant enjoyment.
