Musari 2020

The Musari 2020 from Jakob Tennstedt is a fascinating Mosel Riesling that impresses with its remarkable depth and natural production methods. Named after a butterfly native to the vineyards, it symbolizes the harmonious connection between viticulture and nature.

The grapes come from old, ungrafted Riesling vines that thrive on the characteristic slate soils of the Moselle. After careful harvesting, the must is fermented in oak casks from the Hunsrück region – the wood comes from the adjacent forests, which underscores the wine's regional character.

The wine matures for three years on its lees, without any movement or intervention during fermentation and maturation. Each barrel is individually bottled directly, without filtration or added sulfur – an authentic expression of the terroir.
