The Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck 2023 from Alexander Schregel is an outstanding Riesling that masterfully expresses the unique characteristics of the renowned Berg Roseneck vineyard in Rüdesheim.
The vineyards of Berg Roseneck are characterized by steep slopes with shallow, stony clay soils, which are dominated by slate and quartzite in deeper layers. These geological features impart a pronounced minerality and finesse to the wine.
In the glass, the 2023 Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck presents itself with a clear and precise aromatic profile characterized by citrus notes, fresh herbs, and pronounced minerality. On the palate, it displays impressive freshness and precision, supported by a vibrant acidity and a subtly spicy finish. Currently still somewhat closed, this Riesling promises great potential for the next five to ten years.
