The Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg 2023 from Alexander Schregel is an outstanding Riesling that impressively showcases the characteristic features of the renowned Bischofsberg vineyard in Rüdesheim.
The Bischofsberg vineyard is characterized by loess loam soils low in lime, rich in stones and gravel, which impart a distinctive minerality and finesse to the wine. The vineyard's southern exposure ensures optimal sun exposure, contributing to ideal grape ripening.
In the glass, the 2023 Rüdesheimer Bischofsberg presents a clear and precise aromatic profile characterized by herbs, subtle yellow fruits, and pronounced minerality. On the palate, it displays impressive freshness and precision, supported by a firm acidity and a hint of salinity. The wine captivates with its clarity and elegance.
Although the wine is already approachable, it promises a high aging potential and will develop significantly over the next five to ten years.
